Membership benefits include:
- $50 discount on each conference registration
- Eligibility to apply for scholarships to TAMCAR and IIMC conferences
- Voting rights for association officers and bylaw amendments
- Serve as an association officer or committee member
- Early bird registrations to conferences with limited lodging availability
Active membership is open to any Municipal Clerk or Recorder, Deputy Clerk or Recorder, or any person who performs the duty and functions of the municipal clerk or recorder for a Tennessee town or city.
Associate membership is available to a staff member of a municipal clerk or recorder’s office other than the deputy or assistant clerk or recorder, as well as any other municipal record keeper or interested business representative.
Retiree membership is available to any individual who has been an active member of TAMCAR but who has retired from their duties and functions as a municipal clerk or recorder in Tennessee.
Scholarships are offered for participation in the Certified Municipal Clerks Institute, Master Municipal Clerk Academy, and International Institute of Municipal Clerk Annual Conference. The annual business meeting of the Tennessee Association of Municipal Clerks and Recorders occurs each Fall, at which time the Clerk of the Year and the Distinguished Service Award are announced by the President.
